book review: hail, holy queen [by scott hahn]

title: Hail, Holy Queen (The Mother of God in the Word of God)
author: Scott Hahn, PhD
circle: Mariology
publisher: Doubleday

One of the best books I’ve ever read about Mary! It can be easily understood by people not in serious theological studies, but can denitely be appreciated by those who are, since it packs a lot of what they are looking for in a book on Mary.

What are the roles of Mary and why? Scott Hahn brings us on an adventure that packs a lot of Scripture--from the Old and New Testament. Those who are studying the Scripture will love it, and those who are starting to do so will get a lot from it.

The book may appear as an instruction book about Mary at rst, but reading it also makes you aware of how she really is a perfect mother to all of us. In other words, you don’t only get nourished with knowledge but with a renewed desire to love Mary and make her an integral part of your life.

Hail, Holy Queen is easily a treasure to have for most Catholics and non-Catholics seeking a deeper understanding of Mary. On a personal level, it makes your heavenly mother known to you. As an evangelizing tool, it will equip you with what you need to defend the mother you will surely love. You’ll have to get a copy of it!
